Preparation

It's amazing how the liberal and his or her supporters produce no original thought.  Each one says the same thing, and no amount of facts will stop them from repeating falsehoods incessantly, depending on repetition equating to truth.  I remember being in some great debates where facts destroyed the liberal's awful, erroneous arguments only to find the very next day the same liberals spilling identical untruths.  Unfortunately there is no way to convince liberals that what they believe is false, so why should conservatives bother?

Recent events showed that the time to change minds and hearts may be over.  Truth no longer matters in the USA, and conservatives are wasting their time speaking it to those who don't care.  The real focus needs to be on preparation.

The first step is learning how to address the statist.  Progressives call conservatives all matter of horrid names, like racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe, etc.  They claim that constitutionalists don't care about the poor and sick and are ruled by greed.  The liberal will say that Republicans are corrupt, providing easily refuted examples.  Sadly, without being aware of it, they are describing the ones they rally behind.

Bill Clinton was, and still is, a pervert, rapist, liar.  Anthony Weiner sent naked pictures to minors (NYDailyNews).  Ted Kennedy murdered a woman.  Elliot Spitzer paid for high class hookers.  Eric Holder has proved to be the most corrupt Attorney General in American history in the most corrupt administration, headed by racist Barrack Obama.  Menendez solicited underage Dominican prostitutes supplied by a donor.  Corzine made millions of dollars in a Ponzi scheme.  And that is only a few.  The Democrat party is filled with awful human beings doing unspeakable things, like selling human organs (CNN).

With an opponent so flawed it makes no sense to constantly defend.  In the debates I mentioned earlier, I rarely, if ever, pointed out how terrible the other side is.  I shouldn't have just disproved the lies, I should have attacked back.  And it doesn't have to be confrontational and nasty.  The scandal ridden progressives just need to be pointed out.  Conservatives may feel this is wrong, for it stoops to the level of name calling the liberals embrace.  Yet it's not slanderous to tell the truth.    The evil flawed ones are the Democrats, and that must be revealed.

Zimmerman

Many have looked at the racial and the anti-second amendment aspect of the tragic Zimmerman-Martin incident separately.  The focus is either on the "murder" of a black child or the injustice of concealed carry.  But no one seems to combine the two.

This horrible occurrence was not solely about profiling or whether or not stand-your-ground or armed citizens should be legal.  It is about putting a race in its place.

Zimmerman was labeled a "white Hispanic," with emphasis on the "white," a term rarely used in the history of United State media (Technorati.com).  So why use it now?  In addition, the stand-your-ground laws have received a great deal of attention in a case to which they do not apply (Fox WOGX).  Therefore, what is reason for bringing them up?

Simply put, it's about telling the white population to stand down.

Obama once said that those who oppose him cling to guns and religion and don't like people who aren't similar to them (Politico).  That is the quintessential description of a conservative given by a race bating leftist.  The only part missing is "white man."  For example, the Tea Party is described as bunch of racist white men who often speak of God, the Second Amendment, and the need for a secure border.  Now relate that to Zimmerman, a Hispanic who magically morphed into a crazed, racist, gun-toting, white man, and you move one step closer to what the true message is and for whom it is intended.  Throw in that a goal of the Obama 2012 campaign was to suppress the white vote, and the story is almost complete (RushLimbaugh.com).

Obama and the race hustlers' real message is white conservatives have no right to defend themselves and their families against any type of crime committed by minorities.  After all, whites are responsible for horrid injustices, and any abuse they go through is deserved.  No type of legislation will protect them, even those that embrace the Second Amendment and self-defense.  If one police officer and district attorney won't file charges, they will find another that will.  If they don't like the outcome of a trial, they will use the federal government to press more charges (BusinessInsider).  And if all that fails, the civil courts will bankrupt.  In the end, with the help of the traditional media, an innocent life will be destroyed.  Whites should give up and accept their fate as second class citizens, something they forced onto others in the past.  This is all about intimidation. 

Too many are killed daily by random acts of violence with little to no mention.  However this case had everything the race peddlers and a dishonest president needed to push their agenda and silence opposition: a "white" person killing a black person legally with a firearm.  They are the true racists, trying to scare a group of people into silence and inaction.

Change

Change is phenomenal and should be embraced.  Even when an event can cause pain or loss eventually the true reason for it will be revealed and a bright side discovered.

Texas has become a safe haven for many in the conservative movement.  It is known as a conservative state with a spirit that screams independence.  That is why I moved there.  The move was tough, and the adjustment tougher.  But it will no doubt be worth the extra freedom in the end. 

The entire country will soon have to embrace change.  Some will do better than others, and all will go through it.  Pray that the country, and its people, survive and thrive.

URGENT!

New York is planning to pass a law that will make any magazine with more than seven rounds illegal.  This will not allow the "grandfathering" of higher capacity magazines.  Millions of New Yorkers will become felons overnight!  Don't let this happen!  Spread the word!

The following email was sent out by Westchester Firearms Owners Association warning of this totalitarian action:

TO: ALL W.C.F.O.A. EMAIL ALERT MEMBERS

SUBJECT: URGENT ALERT - IMMINENT ANTI-GUN ACTION                

We have received information that the behind-the-scenes, back-room activity
in Albany in recent days has culminated in two serious "concessions" by
Republican State Senators.

Reports indicate that AS SOON AS TUESDAY a bill will come up for a vote
in the State Senate to ban magazines over 7 rounds in capacity.  That is
ALL magazines, not just rifle magazines.

MORE OMINOUSLY, there is a strong possibility that there WILL NOT
be any "grandfathering" of currently owned magazines of over 7 rounds.
This is a very serious threat.

All gun owners must immediately call and/or email:

AND call your own State Senator and demand that they NOT support such an
extreme, useless, do-nothing action.  An action which could turn thousands
of law-abiding gun owners into felons overnight.

Biden Gun Control Task Force

There are many dismissing the Biden Gun Control Task Force that is currently working on plans to deny Second Amendment rights.  Biden, some argue, is a complete fool, so nothing will come of it.  The hapless Vice President knows little about anything, repeatedly makes dumb comments, and embarrasses the Democrats at every turn (SaltLakeCityTribune).  But Biden serves the purposes of the Left well, and his actions should be carefully watched.

Biden is often called on by the progressives to completely destroy the credibility of and humiliate opponents, with a smile.  During the recent Vice Presidential debate, the main focus was on Biden's behavior.  As two websites point out, his actions detracted from much of what was said during the debates and stifled any points Paul Ryan tried to make (ABCNews & NOLA.com), while referring to Ryan as "my friend" throughout the entire night.  Ryan, a smart man of high moral fiber, was totally shut out of the spotlight that evening.  Before that, while a Senator in the 80's, he went after potential presidential appointee William Clark by asking him questions outside of Clark's expertise, saying the whole time he was sorry for doing it and didn't enjoy it (Spectator.org).  Biden's inquiry had nothing to do with the reasons for Clark's nomination, they just served to destroy Clark's reputation.  In both instances, Biden seemed collected yet passionate, like a good friend defending his side in a high school debate club (and don't doubt me on that!  Conservatives may have been furious, but obviously the public at large thought it acceptable.  He was re-elected).

So it should be a bother that he now heads a commission that is trying to strong arm groups into supporting the President's ludicrous policies (Breitbart.com & TheBlaze.com).  There is no doubt that a man like Joe Biden will defame and attack anyone who tries to disagree or speak out against his party, and his talk of executive orders is a real threat (TheBlaze.com).  And what makes it worse is the picture painted of a doddering old fool who stumbles about and forces so many to smile and say, "Well, that's just Joe," when he appears to mess up.  Because the general public sees him as a nice man, and opponents underestimate him, Democrats can unleash their attack dog with devastating effect.

The frustration level with Joe Biden is high.  He truly is a very stupid man who gets away with so much simply because he is a progressive.  Any Republican like him would have been laughed out of Washington decades ago.  But being a liberal requires no intelligence, and neither does being a jerk.  Those with little or no brains or morals and a willingness to ruin other's reputation, finances, and life in general,  find a comfy home in the Left.

Cuomo

Andrew Cuomo, the governor of New York State, held a State of the State address today.  Within it, he outlined plans to further destroy the Second Amendment in a state that already has some the strictest gun laws in the nation (TheTruthAboutGuns.com).  This crucial part of his speech shed a great deal of light on how the Left works.

The left likes to trick people.  It makes a bogus claim or claims that build public support.  The fake fact or facts also raise the bar from current legislation that already limits some aspect of life.  This way it can keep limiting until a complete ban is in place under the guise of public demand for action.

Cuomo used this tactic well today.

Cuomo said he wanted to limit high capacity magazines for guns in New York.  In his state though, no magazine can have more than ten rounds, which was not considered high capacity, until today. Here, liberals figure that the general public thinks high capacity is anywhere from thirty to one hundred rounds and doesn't tell them that only ten round magazines are legal.  So when they try to cap magazines at five rounds in the future, they raise the bar on what is considered a lot of rounds and hopefully create a public outcry for it.  If five becomes the new "low capacity," next time five rounds will be "high capacity," and it will be lowered again or magazines eliminated all together.

This continued in Cuomo's speech as he mentioned a new assault weapons ban too.  Although he didn't give specifics (the left never does), it is possible to look at Diane Feinstien's new and old assault weapons ban to exemplify the progressive propaganda.  An "assault weapon" to most is a fully automatic machine gun that sprays hundreds of bullets a minute, which is illegal in the United States (unless one goes through the federal government and has tens of thousands of dollars to spend).  But, the government's definition is simply the look or number of "features," such as a detachable magazine or pistol grip, of semi-automatic rifles.  The old ban was a gun could have two "features" and a "short" list of completely illegal firearms (Wikipedia). The newly proposed ban limits gun "features" to one and outlaws a much longer list of guns (Feinstein.Senate.gov).  Here, the new law is more restrictive, using a lack of public knowledge to push it, and future laws will continue this trend till all guns are illegal.

Cuomo also said he wanted to keep guns from getting to the mentally ill.  But, again, it uses people's ignorance to make a point that is not valid.  Those who have been forcibly committed to any hospital or labelled mentally incompetent they will not pass a background check and will not get a gun.  This statement by Cuomo was designed to include even more people.  Who will make the determination of "mentally ill?"  What will that encompass?  Will anyone, even those who were treated temporarily at any point in life, not be able to participate in the Second Amendment?  With more and more children being medicated (EducationWorld.com & NCBI.NLM.NIH.gov), that may prevent a large number of the current and future adults from owning a gun (and I can guarantee you that is part of the plan).

The progressives need misinformation and lies to pass off their ideas and policies.  Whenever a liberal speaks fact it is important to track down that fact and prove it false.  The vast majority of the time it will be a complete lie, greatly twisted, or taken out of context.  As I always say, be vigilant when dealing with the left.  They are very good at propaganda and filling the minds of Americans with rubbish.  The best defense: keep yourself well informed.

Putting A Face To It

One of the most disturbing things about gun-control (which is really anti-liberty or "rights control") is how all of a sudden the law abiding citizen has been labeled as a potential or outright criminal.  What is missing are the faces and stories of those who legally own firearms and use them often with no intent to do harm.

Out of all gun crime, a fraction of a percent involves legally owned firearms (NRAILA.org).  Yet, listening to the media, it would seem that every shooting crime is committed by someone who legally purchased a gun.  And that's just wrong.  Using this premise, a newspaper decided to print the names of pistol permit holders (I refuse to reprint the link).  They wanted to warn the public about potentially dangerous individuals who live next door.  But it must be asked, why is this not done for those who already perpetrated terrible actions, like known sex offenders, felons, or the violent mentally ill?  Why are we treating good people like they need to be watched or exposed?  What have they done to warrant this invasion of privacy?

Another argument from the the "rights control" movement says that people don't need certain types of guns or guns in general.  They claim that military style weapons serve no other purpose than to kill (ConservativeDailyNews.com).  The response to this is the reasons vary, from self defense to hunting (LongRangeHunting.com). However, why does a purchase that doesn't break the law need justifying?  Why isn't it good enough to just say a law abiding citizen, living a free society, wants something that is guaranteed in the Constitution and legally purchased?  The left would answer that guns are different, because they are capable of killing people.  Therefore they need to be removed from society.  With that rationale hammers need to go too, which are used in more murders than rifles (CBS).  And don't forget all cars, because some drivers are irresponsible, operate an automobile drunk, and cause harm or slaughter. 

Most importantly though, gun owners aren't thugs.  They are neighbors, friends, family, and coworkers who use guns for sport and self-defense, pay a great deal for them, and follow laws and safety standards.  With each purchase they submit themselves to background checks and, in some states, an extensive licensing process that meticulously goes through several aspects of private life.

So when a former, eight year veteran of the Marines (God bless our military!) speaks out against Diane Feinstien's assault weapons ban (TheBlaze.com & Inquisitr.com), it puts a face on the pro liberty side.  Here is a man who protected this country with his own well being and may soon be told his Second Amendment rights are severely limited.  Why?  What has he done?  Who has he hurt?  What law has he broken?

The left loves making the other side look like a faceless, heartless robot or barbarian.  They paint themselves as the caring, rational ones.  But lets not forget that conservatives, pro-liberty people, firearm owners, and NRA members are people too.  Just because they disagree with the left does not mean they are horrid individuals.  In fact, most of the time, it makes them better citizens.
